The One in Which I rant a Little Bit.

I am Hula Moo.
I am a Trade Unionist and I believe passionately in a socialist society.
Unfortunately, I and my like minded colleagues are in a minority. We're fighting in a society that is governed and influenced by a minority that believe that to live we must make as much money as possible, avoid paying our way in society and sod anyone that gets in the way.
To be poor is to be demonised. To claim benefits you're entitled to is to be a scrounger. To be disabled is to be the scourge of society.Never mind that the true drain on our society is the elite that don't pay their taxes; that doesn't make good press. Instead we are encouraged to believe that scoungers are claiming £100,000 a year in Housing Benefit; to be outraged at the cheek of hundreds of families claiming huge amounts to fund a lifestyle that most workers can't afford. But it's all bullshit. Five, yes just five families in the UK claim HB of £100,000 a year. Does it go into their pockets? No, it goes straight to wealthy landlords. But while we're all being incensed at the scroungers, we're missing the fact that our hard won rights are being stolen from us.
We really need to get a grip.
We need to stand together and tell this unelected Government that we won't accept their governing for the elite. We need to remind them that they work for us. We need to show our collective strength and refuse to allow them to steal everything we and our forebears fought for.
We need a General Strike.
